Sign Vandalism, August 2002
As part of our campaign to inform the public about General Shale's proposed mine in Barboursville, Friends of Barboursville has put up many signs around the area. A few signs have been stolen at times during the last few months, but during the third week of August, 2002, 42 signs were stolen and many others were vandalized. All of these signs were on private property, some quite far from the road.Follow the links below to see more pictures of the damage, and one possible response to it.
